Members expressed cautious hope about Nemolizumab (Nemo), a drug in development for prurigo nodularis, with many eager for relief but uncertain about approval timelines after previous estimates of 2023 and 2024 passed. Several members described the severe itching and visible nodules that make PN so challenging, with one member sharing how topical steroids provided little relief and another emphasizing that while the FDA approval process is lengthy and rigorous to ensure safety, the wait feels unbearable when you're suffering. A recurring theme was the importance of staying informed through resources like the Galderma and NIH clinical trial websites, maintaining hope for new treatments in the pipeline, and supporting one another through this difficult journey.

If you get into the Galderma website, it tells about the drug specifically for PN called Nemolizumab!

As I've stated previously, the FDA has drug companies adhere to rigorous investigations prior to release to the general public. When I was employed by Wyeth, we spent days, weeks, and months testing potential drugs for the marketplace. We were looking at adverse side effects and efficacy among other parameters. The last thing drug companies want to do is kill or hurt someone. It's difficult to be patient but there's always the possibility that the new drug won't work for you. Keep looking for possibilities until approval . Hang in there!

That's the drug I'm talking about. I also check the NIH web site for Clinical Trials near me.
