Sheri-It is my opinion that itching/scratching does not cause PN. Many have PN but it doesn’t itch. I think sometimes “they” believe that, because they don’t have PN to understand. Odd to think that all of us scratched “nothing” and started a neurological, auto immune disease, that is a.treatment resistant, vicious cycle. lol, which came first the chicken (PN) or the egg(scratching). I would guess the chicken.

I so agree with you Deb.. I believe the PN started first.. I never had any issues with itching until AFTER I started getting bumps which then turned itchy after they erupted. Then let the itching begin. I don't know about anyone else.. but they are so full of clear fluid.. that they can't heal, of course this is only my opinion. Once and only when they dry up do these sores begin to heal. I have been on dupixent for 4 months now.. my legs have cleared a little but I just had a huge "flare-up" my face and arms were effected. :( Does anyone else seem to get these bumps after an injury.. like if you get scratched or a bruise?

And Tina, they say cats do nothing but eat, sleep and poop!! Guess somebody was just a little bit off! As for the PN, I also had no itching until after the nodules appeared. I never considered myself as a chronic scratcher either!!! They blame us for it because they don't know anything about it or how to treat it . I just consider them ignorant jerks! What with their "medical degree "!!
