This Is A Comment. I Had Felt As If I Was Making Progress On My Scalp With Dupixent And Using Topicals. Then…
A MyPrurigoTeam Member asked a question 💭

Yesterday I sprayed an instant root cover up, from the drug store, on my grey roots. It has totally killed my scalp. I am back to a pre-dupixent, pre anything condition. The nodules doubled and it is so painful I cannot touch my hair, let alone my scalp. Two days ago it was better than it had ever been. I am just writing this because I had no idea this could happen to such an extreme. I am weary today with the struggle.

Hi there everyone
I wanted to explain the scratch test I had done .
So they took a marker and made like a map on my back no scratches or needles then he said he take the 80 most common allergies in the Midwest and they
Put drops all over me and covered me in tape . Then you go back the next day and they record what you have on your skin , then you go back one more time and they read all your spots .
I went back one more time and that is when he told me what I was allergic too . I will say since I have made some changes I am better . It’s not gone . But I am not getting as many sores . My mouth is the worst I can’t seem to figure out what I am eating that flares my mouth up .
So if anyone is interested in having this test . Talk to your dermatologist, even if you got 10% relief is better than no relief.

CarlaMontalvoDixon- thank you for asking. Well it got worse before it got better, and I did cry. At least I got to see the difference between PN and LSC. The nodules became larger and multiplied, and burned. The lesions with LSC remained unchanged. I have never been sure how to separate the two. It actually scared me to encounter a pain that was more than I could handle in that moment.. I will be getting a scratch test as Annmarie2 suggested, this was the first time I have ever noted a direct negative response from a product. I am sure there were many and I was just oblivious.

The funny thing was, that I thought I was nearing a cure.🤣😂😅. It is so odd how one person can truly feel help from one product, while another person can have an extreme opposite effect. Or, one day a product gives you great hope and a week later you are a mess. I feel like we should get some kind of a survey going on all the products we commonly use and see if there are things we can figure out. I feel that we have way more knowledge to help ourselves because we experience it, we feel it, we listen to ourselves and each other, and we are not hoping to sell the next 10K a month injectable.

Hi Deb is your scalp doing any better as I too felt like crying & somewhat still do after trying the Gotucream?! My scalp also feels like it was scalded!

My scratch test was a long time ago, so perhaps the arm is a better location now? Good luck!
