Members shared their experiences using lidocaine and similar topical treatments for itching and soreness related to prurigo nodularis (PN), with several finding relief through Icy Cold spray, Bactine with lidocaine, and prescription lidocaine-prilocaine combinations, while others reported that lidocaine dried out their scalp or provided only temporary relief. Many members discussed their experiences with Dupixent injections, with mixed results ranging from minimal improvement to temporary relief lasting a few days after each shot, and some noticing increased itching when doses were due. A recurring theme was the community's shared frustration with the trial-and-error nature of managing PN, the emotional toll of constantly searching for relief, and the comfort found in connecting with others who understand the daily challenges without judgment.

I posted quite a while ago, I used " Icy Cold" spray on my itchy back at night, and it always works! On the same idea as Lidocaine!
Try it, what have you got to loose? "ITCHES"😡😴

I tried taking capcasien in pill form, it just doesn't agree with me at all.

Yeah, just dab the vaseline on the spots, not saturate. It helps with the itch, but doesn't do good on the strands of hair that don't itch. Good luck.

John8-Hi. I guess I have been on dupixent for 8-9 months. I don’t find much change in the day to day over-all. I find PN to be a good-day/bad-day disease. I really thought Dupixent helped at the start but I am thinking maybe I wanted it to work. What I know is it feels better a few days after the shot. For me it is not a miracle. I am going to stop at 1 year and see if it helps at all.

Most of my docs, including shrinks, use Zoom sessions or video chats. This works great!
