Hi Karen! I'm happy that you finally have answers. Triminicinolone is a steroid cream; light therapy is another form of treatment. The Dupixent may help with his PN although it didn't work for me. There are stronger steroid creams than triminicinolone. I was prescribed Clobetesol 0.05% but there are others as well. I found that dermatologist recommended or formulated OTC products worked for me. I also discovered that daily moisturization is beneficial. Good luck to you both.
PN - biopsy results. Light box 2x a week. Trimethlocine cream 1%.
Bathe with remedy cleanse soap.
Skin nerve perception (lots of pin spicule nerve endings) are driving him nuts !! He is lucky to have Dupixent for his copd. It has helped his asthma. This has been going on since September 7th or so. Steroid injections and antibiotic were not the treatment that was started early on.
Hi Karen! Has his dermatologist performed a punch biopsy? It's a biopsy that samples all 7 layers of skin;not a scraping. What has the dermatologist prescribed to heal the nodules and and address the situation of the needles? When I.have a list of questions, concerns, or symptoms, I contact the physician. I either call or use the patient portal. Prior to the contact, I review in my mind or on paper what I need to discuss. This keeps the message focused. I worry that popping them could lead to an infection. I think it may be wise to have a definitive diagnosis so your approach is simplified.
My husband is having the feeling (he feels them) of tiny pointed on each end - needles that he can move. They are under the blisters he has “popped” due to extreme (painful) nerve involvement. They do not itch! I have looked at lichen spicularis. Please comment -tia!
Yes. I have it all over. All the time
