You are so right-- knowledge is power. My insurance coverage is through NC Retired Teacher's and Medicare. It is complicated and changes each contract.
So far it has been better each contract. I reviewed my policy booklet and found the section that discussed deductibles. I had never had enough prescription med out of pocket costs for the deductibles to be covered for prescription drugs before. The dupixent even at an excellent insurance coverage price still came under a yearly deductible program.

Kathy, you are correct about insurance companies changing drug coverage. Open enrollment provides the opportunity to review your coverage for the upcoming year and make adjustments if need be. I suggest taking the time to get to know your insurance plans across the board to stay informed. Knowledge is power.

PN is a tough disease and getting support from family, providers, insurance companies, etc. is really tough sometimes. We just have to roll up our sleeves, take a deep breath, and get the courage to do whatever it takes to do what helps us. It is hard. I hope that Georgia finds relief.
I found out today via my special pharmacy representative that for the month of December my dupixent would be $0 because I met my deductible. Once again, I didn't know about deductibles on prescription meds. I sound uninformed but things change with insurance policies. Kathy Patterson
