Hi Trudy! When I was receiving Dupixent, my insurance plan did cover it. What I suggest is that you contact your prescription plan and inquire. There are insurance requirements that will cause delays in receiving the Dupixent as well as receiving reimbursement. When you contact the insurance provider, ask if a pre-approval is required. That is something that is done by the dermatologist. Sometimes an exception from the formulary is also required. These days insurance companies are requiring patients to try Dupixent first and then if Dupixent is not resolving the problem, Nemluvio therapy can the be introduced. It is a lot to do, but I think it is worth it, saving money, time, and preventing stress.

- Dupixent is medically necessary for your case
The manufacturer, Sanofi, offers a copay assistance program that may help reduce out-of-pocket costs if you have commercial insurance. They also have patient support services to help navigate the insurance approval process.
It's worth reaching out to other MyPrurigoTeam members about their insurance experiences, as they can share real-world insights about which plans covered it and what the approval process was like for them.
Start by contacting your insurance company directly to ask about coverage requirements, and have your dermatologist's office help with the prior authorization paperwork. Don't get discouraged if there's initial pushback - appeals are often successful.
