Members shared mixed experiences when asked if tea tree oil helps cure psoriasis, with the consensus being that while there is no cure for the condition, tea tree oil can provide temporary relief for some people. Several members described using tea tree oil in shampoos, scalp treatments, or blended with eucalyptus to reduce itching and keep scalp lesions more supple, with one member noting their dermatologist advised avoiding edible oils like coconut or avocado as these may worsen yeast-related symptoms. A recurring theme was that tea tree oil offered just enough relief to help some members sleep or extend the time between hair washes, though others found it ineffective, reinforcing that individual responses to treatments vary widely.

I’m glad you chimed in with that information. That’s news to me. Tea tree helps my ears when they are raw.

I use Aunt Jackie's Elixir Essentials Hair & Scalp Oil, Collagen, Tea Tree Oil & Eucalyptus and it helps with the itch and keeps the scabs on my scalp more supple. My Dermatologist said to avoid any oil that has ingredients which you would eat (like coconut or avacado oil), as these could cause yeast and make it worse.

Only on our sheets and my pjs/nightie. I don't like putting anything with nasty smell on my body/hair cuz it'll wind up giving me a migraine. I use Calcipitrene ointment mixed in with a good eczema cream. I mix them together and put that all over my body after my bath. If I'm very itchy, that will have been an Aveeno colloidal deliciously warm/not hot oatmeal bath. I only use very mild soap (Clinique Mild Facial Soap) and only on my face/neck/decollete/hands/feet. Everything else, I just soak it off in the tub with a tiny bit of friction towards end bath. I wash my hair with mild, restorative shampoos (unless my scalp itches--then I'll use one with a ph between 4 and 6 to help with the itch. I apply my face serums/creams and then put that mixture of Calcipetrene and an eczema ointment. Dry by patting lightly with your towel. Don't rub. I take a benadryl if I'm still itchy (before going to bed). Hope some of this helps. P.S. If I'm having a real bad day and everything hurts/itches, it really helps to just sit down with ice bags over the worst offenders.
