Members shared practical approaches to cleaning hair combs and brushes while managing painful scalp conditions like prurigo nodularis and seborrheic dermatitis, with many washing their tools in hot water with the same shampoo they use. Several members emphasized lessons learned from dermatologists, including using only prescribed products like dermal lotion, switching to 100% cotton towels and bedding, avoiding certain foods that trigger flares, and using Milton disinfectant to calm inflammation. A recurring theme was the emotional and physical toll of managing overlapping skin conditions, with members offering mutual encouragement to stay strong, make necessary lifestyle changes, and recognize that healing requires patience and adaptation even when progress feels slow.
