Members confirmed that prurigo nodularis biopsies typically show positive results and explained that the itching comes from within, driven by an oversensitive nervous system and overactive T cells. Several members shared mixed experiences with Dupixent, with some finding it ineffective while others expressed hope it might help, and one member noted success with steroid cream despite concerns about long-term side effects like weakened bones. A recurring theme was frustration with PN being a mysterious, trial-and-error condition where treatments work differently for each person, leaving the community searching for answers while supporting one another through the challenges.

My biopsy did show positive results for PN. However, Dupixent was not effective for me.

Interesting. Maybe why people (myself included soon) try Dupixent ®.

The itching comes from within. Oversensitive nervous system in combination with T cells overproduction.

Hello again
If U dont mind me asking what are/ were U taking that didn't help U,?
Hope the Dupixent works 4 U
I've got 2 C my dermatologist soon & ask her if I can qualify 4 it as the steroid cream Taro-clobestral I've been using has helped tremendously since March but apparently steroids in any form arent good for us long term- lots of side effects
It's already made my bones weaker & I already have osteoporosis ,& I recently fractured a spinal bone & causing a disc compression - fun wow - so so painful- couldn't even walk 4 a month
Had 2 have an Emergency MRI & the hospital also wants me 2 get a CT scan soon!! Not even sure what the remedy is yet - they did mention a couple of surgical options😳😬 but have 2 wait 4 the results of the CT scan- yikes
Being in Canada I'm not even sure if Dupixent is available up here?
The dermatologist did mention something about getting a bi- weekly biologic injection ? Maybe it is Dupixent or something similar.
Some people in this group have mentioned Dupiixent can have adverse side effects 4 some people- just like any medication can
We take one medication 2 help with one problem & then its side effects cause another problem
Just cant win lol
Take care
Bye 4 now
