Heat and humidity seem to be the trigger for me.

I have never been asked about the parasites. I will ask my dermatologist when I see him in a couple weeks. I'm seeing a new dermatologist so maybe this one will know more than the other one.

I had several biopsies that came back non-specific before two came back PN. Dupixent has definitely helped mine clear up and I had hundreds on my back, arms and legs. Right now I have 3 stubborn ones on my legs and one on my face. I use CereVe anti-itch moisturizer to control the itch and doing well. Don't despair, you will find something that works for you. It takes awhile. I've been on Dupixent for almost a year now. Oh yes, still have scalp issues and use Clobetasol, prescribed by my doctor. No issues, unless I forget to use twice a day. Hang in there!

It says on the dupixent information you should talk to your doctor about any parasites before starting the medication. I haven't seen anything in the group.

I believe as far as I aware, the best/ only way 2 definitively diagnose PN is with a biopsy
I was very lucky last year when a dermatologist did a biopsy & within 2 weeks had a diagnosis from the pathologist
Also wondering about being tested 4 fungus/ parasites? I've never heard that mention in this group? I wonder if they've discovered something new that those issues R related 2 the cause of PN? Very interesting 4 sure I always question how we get PN in the first place, as no doctors seem to know😯
If anyone else in the group is aware of this issue it would be very much appreciated if U could share any information & enlighten us
Do they test with a blood sample??
I will ask my doctor next time I C him & also look it up online
