I am on both which seems to help somewhat w/some relief with the 3 diseases on my scalp (PN, LSC, & SD). What used to help me the most was Benadryl which I can no longer use due to being a fossil, so I replaced it with the 2nd generation of antihistamines. I just wanted to share this with team members as I realized that we all want to know any little thing that might help us PN sufferers!

HI Cathy, I used to have it only on my scalp but it has now spread to my skin on my legs also and I have a huge legion. oddly enough the nodules n my scalp are not too bothersome as they dont itch terribly
Hi Joanne! My scalp nodules don't itch either. I think it's because I take the NAC supplement.
I have PN on my scalp as well as occasionally on my skin. I have learned that stress, heat, humidity, along with other factors, contribute to the flares of PN. I'm grateful that I have a definitive diagnosis so that I'm not having to speculate causes.
My doctor put me on hydroxide hydrochloride, a calming antihistamine. It seems to help alot, fewer sores. I know when I am stressed is when my scalp starts itching. But is it the pill, the weather? We will see!
