I think my PN came from stress. I started getting breakouts after my husbands accident in 2005 that left him with some brain injury(TBI) he was never the same and, then in 2019 he had to have part of his colon removed and left him with a stoma. I had to care for him, a little over a year later he got cancer and passed. My skin was completely clear until all this happened and now I’m still dealing with it.

Members responded with deep empathy to a question about whether stress can trigger prurigo nodularis (PN), with the overwhelming consensus being that stress is a significant factor in causing and worsening flare-ups. Several members shared personal stories linking their PN onset to major life stressors, and offered helpful strategies like diaphragmatic breathing, meditation, yoga, antibacterial soap, steroid creams, and medications like Dupixent and Nemluvio. A recurring theme was the importance of addressing the mind-body connection, with one member recommending the book 'When the Body Says No' by Dr. Gabor Mate as a helpful resource.

Yes it does play a part with my flare ups but it's not the only reason for my PN it's other factors also 🙂❤️
