- Your dermatologist will examine your skin for nodules, plaques, or papules
- They'll ask about your Show Full Answer
Hi from Berea Ohio! I'm sorry this happened to you. Antibiotics can be great but they can make a mess too. I can relate. Bless you π
When I finally went to the dermatologist because nobody else could tell me what was wrong she took one look at me and said you have Paragon nodularis. But we're going to do a biopsy just to be sure. And sure enough it turned out positive for PN. It is progressing we gotten worse over the past two years and having a compromised immune system is what triggers it. I have been taking antibiotics for 6 months and my doctor never mentioned one time that by taking antibiotics for that length of time would crash my immune system. I'm angry with him because I didn't know or I might have tried something else rather than stay on the antibiotics. I had a sinus infection that would not go away I would have opted to have my sinuses scraped rather than end up with pn. And I'm angry with him I feel like I have a right to be at this point. I did not know that antibiotics would crash your immune system but they absolutely will.
