I had my mammography yesterday and where I have calcifications I have to have a mammogram every six months, well they have grown so I have to have a biopsy, I don’t know the date yet but, I’ve been told this is a very painful procedure. I won’t lie I’m scared. Please pray for me and I appreciate everyone of you. I hope you all have a great day.

There are so many factors that cause pn and we all have different genetics. So anything is possible. Unfortunately, all we can do is treat it. Otherwise we will make ourselves mad trying to figure it out.

That's a really interesting question! While there's no specific research linking pitted fruit allergies directly to causing prurigo nodularis (PN), allergies in general are connected to PN in a meaningful way.

Allergies are associated with an overactive immune system, which is one of the key factors believed to contribute to PN developing in the first place. So having any allergy could potentially play a role.

Here's how allergies connect to PN:

- An overactive immune system triggers the release of histamine
- Histamine causes itching, hives, and immune reactions
- Persistent itching and scratching can lead to PN nodules forming over time
- Some foods can also raise histamine levels in the body, potentially worsening symptoms If you suspect a pitted fruit allergy may be affecting your PN, it's worth visiting an allergist. They can perform skin prick tests, patch tests, food challenges, or blood tests to identify specific triggers. From there, they can recommend antihistamines or other treatments and help you avoid allergens that may be making your symptoms worse.
