Had a patch test. Said I was allergic to several trees, dust mites and a few foods but nothing major.

Hello
How do U know you're allergic? Do U break out in a different kind of rash than PN?
Scary especially if it's an anaphalatic reaction affecting breathing- swelling of the throat tongue face etc
Luckily I've never had any allergies or allergic reactions 2 medicine knock on wood😊
However everyone has different reactions 2 various medications
Our bodies immune system is very delicate & any little change can upset it & cause it 2 go haywire unfortunately
Take care
Finally a nice cool crisp fall day🍁

Must have been so terrifying/ scary - sorry 4 your terrible situation on top of this nasty PN
What did U take when that severe allergic reaction occurred? Hopefully U went 2 the Emergency Room
Is the allergy specialist going 2 test 2 C which medications U R reacting 2 ? That's scary as well as U might have another severe reaction but @ least they will find out which particular medicine or specific ingredient in the medication is causing your reaction
Good luck when U meet up with the allergist. At least if U do suffer another severe reaction they will B there in the room with U 2 provide an immediate antidote
You mentioned about missing a step or a missing link
Maybe dermatologists should also send all of us PN patients 4 allergy tests? Who knows?
Definitely more research needs 2 B done 4 PN 4 sure
Take care❤️
Yes, I have, and my answer is the same as ThisOldBoat's.
I have bad reactions to some medications. In the past few years I will start to itch terrible right after I ate, trouble breathing, mouth swelling. I am going to an allergy doctor. No, my dermatologist didn't mention it. I feel like we are missing a step here.
