Polycythemia Vera is a disorder of the blood system. It results in a high hemoglobin due to increased red cell production. The good news is that it can be managed and is treatable. While an additional diagnosis adds to the frustration and anxiety of living with chronic disease; please don't allow yourself to be defined by it or any other diagnoses. Please focus on you and the positives of you. Do things that bring you joy. Engage in self care. Follow your physician's treatment plans. Vent or cry when you are having a bad day. There is no negativity in being upset or angry. Get it out and then regroup! All the best to you!

They say I get in their nerves with all the scratching and picking but dang I can't help it is wouldn't wish this mess on anyone but I do wish people could understand it or at least try.
