I was on Dupixent for about 6 months before switching to the new drug, Nemluvio. I had no side effects, and it was fairly easy to self administer. Both companies offer patient assistance programs with provided me with zero cost. Dupixent did help, but my docs didn't think it was acting quick enough for my particular case.

Ha, my son lives in Cumming! Do not fear Dupixent. I have not heard any horror stories yet. No side effects, just eventual relief.

I hope you were aware that you as a subscriber have the ability to appeal a coverage decision. Sometimes it requires a physician to speak with a medical director for the company and sometimes it is a matter of paperwork. Another avenue is to see if there are coupons to cover it. I'm just offering information for everyone in case it happens to any of you.

Well I started dupixent late Oct. 2024. Dx with PN and eczema. Skin has resolved except for rash in Right ear. The itching has decreased. Have had no difficulty with dupixent except for insurance approving. I'm on some sort of program that provides with the dupixent free of charge. I take injection every 2 weeks. I was very hesitant too and have not had any difficulties

No side effects of much note for me, and no weight gain. I had itchy redness for a couple of days after every injection (at the injection site only) for the first 8 months, but that has resolved. I started Dupixent on February 7th last year, 2024. My skin started clearing and the itching decreased within a few days of the starter dose. I had 2 strange incidents a few weeks after starting it, but I don't know if they were related, haven't found anything like that in the lists of side effects. I started gradually feeling chilly, then freezing cold, shivering and shaking uncontrollably, unable to speak right because of chattering teeth. These 2 episodes lasted about half an hour each, and have not happened since. I have minor skin outbreaks every now and then which are resolved with a thin layer of triamcinolone and/or OTC anti-itch cream with benadryl. These days, the nightmare of constant itching, bloody rash, and nodules is like a distant nightmare, and I hope to be able to continue Dupixent without any unexpected side effects, such as what Tina sadly experienced.
I know it's nerve wracking, but the only way to know is to try it. I wish you all the best if you do - (and if you don't, as well!) xo
