It's there, often a core, and then I itch. I don't cause it by scratching.
I do not scratch or itch. I cope as best as I can. Mostly I put an ice pack on any itching areas. That being said scratching and itching has nothing to do with causing my PN.

Well done not scratching or itching. Once you start it aggravates it to be scratched more and more and finally you pick and pick and the you really wish you hadn’t started. I feel my nodules about to pop through the skin and that for me is when it is at its worst. Mine is on my scalp. The skin is much thinner and what I feel is like a needle stabbing me where the nodule is about to pop through. I just feel like I want to rip my hair out. It sort of pops out through the hair follicles. So painful it does push me into depression. I try and read to take my mind off of the pain. Must say it is worse at night. Starts around 6pm. And I am up half the night. No one really understands the
pain intensity.
I agree too!!
