Members shared practical strategies for managing prurigo nodularis symptoms triggered or worsened by heat and humidity. Several members described finding relief through consistent moisturizing with body butters, breaking the itch-scratch cycle through mindfulness, keeping skin cool with ice packs throughout the day and night, and wearing cooling clothing from brands like Artic Cool or similar moisture-wicking fabrics. A recurring theme was the importance of vigilance in managing flares, with members offering encouragement and specific product recommendations to help each other stay comfortable despite challenging weather conditions.

Well so far I've been using aloe vera and ice packs. I was using Vaseline but I started wondering if I have a secondary fungal infection so I bought an antifungal powder and am using that instead. That is seeming to help a lot but if I let my skin get too warm it is almost unbearable. I feel like my skin is crawling with bugs and I get so flustered. Dr gave me oral and topical steroid for this flare and I just started Dupixent.

Meagan, I don't know if you're interested, but I found cooling towels placed around my neck helps me. You can buy them on Amazon. There is a company by the name of Artic Cool which manufactures clothing that produces a cooling effect when you sweat. My son who works in a restaurant kitchen sweats by them. What are you doing to manage the pain?

I agree with you, Linda. Moisturizing is so important and breaking the itch, scratch, pick cycle is important as well. It's not easy to do but I found that vigilance and consistency work the best for me.

So I did do that now. I actually just put on a similar and much cheaper dress. It seems okay for my skin so far! Curious how it washes up. If it washes well I am buying one in every color! Lol. I basically found one that is the same fabric as those artic cool dresses.
