Very interesting to find this out. Mine started with stress though, not an insect bite but valuable information to know about insect bites being trigger.

I have drilled down as deep as both me and my providers can go over why this disorder began for me. Mine began within 6 weeks of my 5th mRNA-Covid vaccine. First a lesion on my right hip, upper leg, became active, then lesions opened up on my back and proximal (upper) left arm. I have been treated by a dermatologist off/on since 2010. I’ve had a couple skin cancers removed and biopsied. Being a patient of record I was already scheduled for my annual skin exam and during that appointment I was very concerned and troubled by all these open sores. Desperate, almost, wanting a diagnosis and treatment, and my dermatologist knew immediately that this is PN. Let’s take a biopsy on 2 diff areas and the pathologist confirmed her findings. The mRNA vaccine protein lingered, it did not cease its function after the 7 day period as it is designed. My immune system stayed in overdrive and it’s still trying to eat my skin alive 😀 that protein is still trying to fight an invader and since there isn’t one, it is attacking healthy tissue, my skin. It’s very similar, if not like, an autoimmune disease, it’s just very confused! That was in October 2022 and 3, and probably more, years I’m still trying to treat it and reset my normal immune function.

That’s the story or the one the both me and the doctor have talked about between each other. There is also some trial research documentation on the CDC website which shows this skin disorder can be the result of an mRNA vaccine.

No, no insect bite for me. I have read the PN report findings and this skin disorder can begin with an insect bite. Definitely a risk factor.
