Do you just have one nodule Cathy?
ah thanks so much for answering! I have one large flat patch on my scalp, a flat patch on my leg and one flat batch on my butt! (I think as you call it!)
No, I typically don't. They arrive in a cluster. My primary location is my scalp with my skin occasionally joining in.
Mine didn't have a center either. At first, I have a small, red, spot on my skin. My scalp begins to tingle and then I feel a small bump with it being hard. There could be more than PN happening; that definitely is something else to consider. When my punch biopsy was performed, it was at the end of a severe itching episode. It is so frustrating to me and other sufferers as well, that the PN is caused by the patient themselves! Uh, no, no it is not! The itching is in relation to a nero-inflammatory response from our body. If you are questioning, please keep asking for answers! 🤗❤️
Thanks Cathy. To be honest I was relieved when they said there is the possibility that it isn’t PN. She didn’t say that the biopsy was done incorrectly but just that it can sometimes be mistaken. She said that they were wounds I have caused by scratching. I do notice that my sores don’t look like any of the pictures and they don’t have this thing in the centre that people talk about. They are just flat scabs
