I get three on the back of my neck at the base of my hairline and it's always in the exact same spot and they are intensely on fire more so than other places on my body. As far as in my hair on my scalp for some reason it's like I get this huge swilled up spot about the size of a quarter like I banged my head on something that is very very painful and sensitive that never actually becomes anything other than just a big knot on my head. And I get many of those when I have a flare up. I get one in the same location every time deep inside my ear almost to my ear canal itself that drives me absolutely crazy so I have come to the conclusion that this disorder doesn't care where it grows as long as it's in the skin. I also have one that is just inside one of my nostrils on the septum which is you know the ultra-sensitive region that makes you have tears in your eyes whenever you even think about touching it. I found it very interesting that a lot of the nodules that I get are always in the same spot.
Have nodules behind your earlobes been recurring even after surgical removal?
Yes, nodules from prurigo nodularis can develop on the scalp and around the ears, including behind the earlobes. The occipital region (back of the head) is particularly prone to lesions. Unfortunately, nodules can be persistent and may return Show Full Answer
