First of all, a hospital stay is no small thing β€” so hopefully recovery is going well and things are looking up! That sounds like a really frightening experience, and it's completely understandable to feel unsettled by it all.

When it comes to prurigo nodularis, the immune system is already in a heightened state. PN is considered an immune-mediated condition, meaning there's a kind of miscommunication happening between the skin, immune system, and nerve cells.

This is exactly why working closely with a dermatologist and primary care doctor together is so important β€” especially after a serious illness. Managing overall health as one big picture, rather than focusing on skin symptoms alone, can make a real difference in how PN behaves.

It's also worth keeping an eye on mental health during recovery. Dealing with a scary health event on top of PN can take a real emotional toll, and that stress can actually increase inflammation and worsen symptoms. Don't hesitate to bring that up with a healthcare provider too.

Wishing a smooth and speedy recovery! πŸ’™

ThanksMarc. I'm fine. It went into bronchitis so fast. I know about 4 people who are battling this. One day fine, next down like a tree. We all live within 5 miles in Ohio of where the meteor landed. Are there really aliens πŸ‘½? I am beginning to wonder! Thanks!
