Hey Pearl! I was thinking about your issues with your gums. Have you contacted your dentist and PCP about your situation? I'm wondering if there is a connection among your oral, PN, and A1C. I also am wondering if a rheumatologist should be consulted. In my situation, it was the rheumatologist who evaluated all of my symptoms, ordered an additional test, and arrived at a conclusion.

Pearl, it sounds like you're have quite the rough seas these days. I don't have much to offer in the way of possible solutions but you have my fervent hopes that things improve for you soon. Thinking positive thoughts on your behalf.

I have not had that experience yet, it sounds dreadful. I would immediately use a antihistamine to start.. perhaps that will give you some relief.

Hi Pearl! I have Sjogren's and one of the primary symptoms is dry mouth due to the lack of saliva production. I use Peroxyl when my gums become red and swollen. I also use an oral anaesthetic with numbing features for pain. Salt water rinses are soothing. Oral hygiene is extremely important in order to prevent cavities.
