Afraid of side effects from the cream, since I've had cancer, have COPD and emphysema and shortness of breath. Have been on nemluvio almost a year. Still open wounds and itching and burning.

Members discussed combining Nemluvio with Opzelura cream for prurigo nodularis, especially when dealing with serious health conditions like cancer, COPD, and kidney issues. Several members shared practical tips, including strictly following Opzelura's 20% body coverage limit, using hydrocolloid gel patches, calamine lotion, CeraVe itch relief cream, and adding OTC antihistamines like Zyrtec or Allegra. A recurring theme was the importance of seeking a second opinion when progress feels slow, and exploring alternatives like Dupixent or NAC to manage symptoms safely.

Add an OTC allergy medication such as Zyrtec or Allegra and that really get it under control!

Eugenia, is Dupixent a possibility for you since it works on different IL channels? There's also NAC (N-Acetylcysteine) which many of us use to help with the itch.

Hi! I am new here, so I want to tell you what I have been using to help clear it up. I was diagnosed 2 months ago.
Two times a day I wipe my arms down with clear calamine lotion. let it dry, then I apply the see -through hydrocolloid gel patches. These can stay on your body for a few days, as they are waterproof. I also use CeraVe itch relief CREAM right over the patches especially at night.
I had great hopes for the Nemluvio, but I have bladder cancer and it interferes with the treatment.
I have seen an improvement in my skin, and it is not spreading around my back.
