Members rallied around someone struggling with painful nodules and scars, sharing the isolating reality of living with prurigo nodularis and the challenge of finding treatments that work. Several members offered hope through their own experiences with Dupixent, suggesting it can help after several months, while others shared alternative approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, and stress reduction techniques to support immune function and skin healing. A recurring theme was fierce encouragement to keep fighting despite the exhaustion and despair, with members reminding each other they are not alone and urging perseverance even on the hardest days.

Dupixent helps but it takes a few shots like 3or4 months and then there are the white cotton gloves and keeping nails short and do not touch open wounds ever prednisone helps as does many many dr visits do not cause self harm by itching try to talk yourself down from the itch and yes it can take hours to do so I personally just tell myself to stop over and over

I'm sorry you're going through such a tough time. For flattening and whitening scars, treatments like silicone gel sheets, topical scar creams, or light therapy may help, but results can take time. To manage pain, options like ice packs, CBD creams, or prescribed medications may provide relief. Keeping hands off at night can be challenging—try wearing gloves or using bandages if possible. It's important to stay in touch with your dermatologist to explore treatments like Dupixent and other options. You're not alone, and support is available.
